Can You “MEAT” Standards?
Healthcare providers know that there’s a lot riding on their documentation, but don’t always know what quality documentation looks like. This Storyline interaction, part of a larger course on value-based care documentation, teaches doctors and other providers the MEAT style of charting - Monitor, Evaluate, Assess, and Treat.
After reviewing a sample note, learners must advise Dr. Ramirez on her next steps. A final results slides lets you experience the impact of your advice and see what quality documentation for specific diagnoses might look like.
Later in the course, providers have the opportunity to spot the dos & don’ts in charting samples, and identify the impact of each don’t.
Job aids are available to learners as they practice an action they’ll actually take in their daily work: reviewing documentation for common mistakes.
